Als sich FOTL (Ex-Mitglieder von McLusky und Jarcrew) Ende letzten Jahres erstmals über XtraMile Recordings/Kartel in Form der EP ‚Polymers Are Forever‘ erfolgreich zurückmeldeten, war abzusehen was sich nun in Form des neuen Albums „the plot against common sense“ bewahrheitet. Das walisische Dynamit, aktuell nicht mehr als Trio, sondern nunmehr zu viert unterwegs, geht keine Kompromisse ein und haut 15 schweißtreibende PowerPop/Punk-Rock Stücke raus, die sich einen feuchten Dreck um Trends scheren. Die UK-Presse meinte unlängst: ‘the plot against common sense’ constitutes 49.8 minutes of singing, shouting, slinking, smashing and (at times) sobbing, the album is the best thing the band have put their name to in this or any other dimension, a fact which is not open to debate.
